 Storyboards are a type of pre-production document mad before shooting begins. This will offer a concise and complete representation of how the finished shot may look. storyboards must include various things from sketches and their explanations, sound info and camera info etc. so every member of production knows exactly what they need to do. Storyboards are vital as they will detail how the shot looks and make sure a satisfying shot can be created through intense planning as they help to organize everything and highlight weaker elements. Things to remember - do not neglect backgrounds, you do not need to know how to draw well. Use arrows and boxes to represent movement of characters, cameras, lighting, etc.. Use numbering to signify order. Be detailed, should tell who is responsible for what - confusion must be avoided. Storyboards let you be concise with filming.
